Low Bentham - Wenning Mills

Silk weaving in Low Bentham continued to @1970. The successive rebuilding of the mill complex is recorded by the date stone. The photo to the left shows part of the 1928 building and some mill cottages, that on the right shows the remains of a mill chimney.

The Mill site has been cleared for new housing by Russell Armer and named Millers Ford. The photographs on the left and right show the new and old footbridges over the Wenning which lie behind the development.
