Wyre Forest Villages

Here are some photographs of Wyre Forest Villages that Henry used in his school geography project.

Rock Church

The focal point for most village communities is the church. Rock Parish Church is noted for its Norman architecture. At one time the parish was reputed to be the largest in England in area.

Post Box, Churchill

Some smaller villages have little more than a phone box and post box as here at Churchill.

Though a village may have few other facilities, the community hall is often a source of pride and the focus of social life as here at Heightington.
